My guest today is Matthew Turner is a British author who wrote the book The Successful Mistake: How 163 of the world’s greatest entrepreneurs transform failure and adversity into success on the back of interviewing hundreds of successful entrepreneurs, authors, investors, and thought-leaders. As well as writing his own books, Matthew ghostwrites both articles and books for other successful entrepreneurs and thought-leaders, in-between spending time with his two children.

It’s Matthew's second time on the show; it’s always such a pleasure to see him and chat. I highly recommend scrolling down and finding his Beyond the Pale episode — where we explore personal transformation and rediscovering your vision through a fictional story of a billionaire entrepreneur.

Today, we have an opportunity to learn from intimate conversations with 163 entrepreneurs that Matthew had the chance to interview; we examine the big idea behind the book — how failures can lead to future success. Matthew explains how successful people he interviewed in the book still experience worry, fear, and self-doubt despite their money, fame, and freedom. We zoom in on the topic of financial pain and the entrepreneurial path. Matthew shares the mantra of "less doing, more living" and the importance of not neglecting one's health. I found it very helpful to be reminded that life without hardship doesn’t exist, and it’s all about pushing through challenges. I really like the idea of asking big questions when in doubt. Stay tuned until the end when we talk about living the life of freedom.
